The Class of '65  (at Forty)

We were young!  We were alive!
We were the THS Class of 65.
Now we've come back.  We're finally here.
To raise a toast.  To down a beer.

We can toast to the past - to friends of old.
To the high school days enjoyed in body and soul.
We can remember Miss Parr, Miss Breaux, and Miss Ray.
We learned French, English, and Typing all in a day.

But in addition to book learning, we made friends for life.
In fact a few of us, even managed to find a wife.
And the friends we made are still there for us today.
In spite of our growing waist lines, wrinkles, and gray.

We were so innocent as was the world back then.
Drinking too many beers was probably the worst we could sin.
We left Terrebonne High each going our own separate way,
But now we're back together to remember and to play.

We have to take a moment to remember friends lost along the way.
But in our hearts and in our minds, these friends will always stay.
For no matter where we are, we grew up Terrebonne Tigers from the start.
And the members of the Class of '65 will always be in our heart.

So lets have fun and remember the days of old,
When the worst thing you could get from your girl friend was a bad cold.
And let's all ponder the question we all want to ask,
"I just can't remember all these old people being in my class?"
